The Hellenic Society of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging (HSNM&MI) was founded in 1968 and is one of the oldest companies in the field of Nuclear Medicine in Europe.
Today, HSNM&MI counts more than 200 active members, coming from all regions of Greece: Nuclear Doctors (specialists and trainees), Medical Physicists, Radiochemists, Radiopharmacologists, Technologists and other Scientists with special interest in the field of Nuclear Medicine. It is the only scientific body officially recognized as an advisory body of the Greek State on any issue that arises regarding the subject of Nuclear Medicine.
HSNM&MI is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of the President, the Vice-President, the Gen. Secretary, the Assoc. Born. Secretary, the Treasurer and two Members, who are elected for a term of three years by the members of the HSPI&MI at the Electoral-Accounting Ordinary General Assembly.
In order to achieve its objectives, the Society organizes committees of specialized scientist-members, such as the HSNM&MI Education Committee, with the aim of promoting Continuing Medical Education in Nuclear Medicine.
