Dear Friends and Colleagues,
On behalf of the organizing committee, we would like to invite you to participate in the 12th Balkan Congress of Nuclear Medicine in conjunction with the 17th Panhellenic Congress of Nuclear Medicine, taking place in Athens, Greece from 8 – 11 May 2025. The motto of the conference is “Joining Forces”, which aims not only to further strengthen the development of nuclear medicine in the Balkan region, but also to emphasize the need of collaboration between medical specialties. Congress thematology presents Nuclear medicine’s tremendous potential to advance precision medicine in many critical human diseases: cancer, heart disease, neurodegenerative disorders management depends on molecular imaging ability to visualize and quantify the cellular and molecular underpinnings of disease on a patient-by-patient basis. Nuclear medicine now provides evidence-based ways to detect disease at early, potentially curable stages, identify patients likely to respond to certain treatments, predict a patient’s response to therapy early in the treatment cycle and in many cases offers effective therapeutic possibilities.
We warmly welcome nuclear medicine colleagues from all over Balkan countries and nuclear medicine experts from all over the world to participate and present clinical experiences and results. We do hope this meeting will be a great opportunity for interaction with the participation of prominent world-class faculty. This will not only enrich the participant’s experience and knowledge, but also promises to deliver cutting-edge perspectives and insights that will shape the future of nuclear medicine in Balkan region.
Greece is the birthplace of Hippocrates, Asclepius and Democritus. Athens is the origin of Democracy and a city dedicated to research and education. Let us serve you with our hospitality and beautiful culture. We will ensure that all of you will have so many memories, not only about the scientific aspects, but also from our philoxenia!
We hope to see you all in Athens!
